Information We Collect
We collect account information such as your name, email address, Firebase user ID, and authentication state when you sign in or create an account.
We collect car search and workflow information, including buy requests, filters, budgets, vehicle matches, selected vehicles, rejected vehicles, pursuit requests, buyer-required answers, task timelines, source links, and saved workflow state.
We collect public listing information from supported classifieds and listing sources, including vehicle title, price, year, mileage, location, seller name or seller type, phone number when available from the listing source, listing text, photos, source URLs, and evidence used to assess risk and readiness.
When Afreet contacts a seller, we collect seller contact information, WhatsApp message content, message status events, timestamps, and provider message identifiers. If a seller replies with a question that Afreet cannot answer, we may store that question and ask the buyer to respond.
We also collect technical and analytics information such as device and browser details, page views, actions taken in the app, API session identifiers, error states, IP-derived approximate location, and cookies or similar identifiers.
How We Use Information
We use information to operate the Afreet product, authenticate users, find and evaluate relevant vehicle listings, keep rejected and pursued cars scoped to the correct user, contact sellers with permission requests, manage purchase workflow tasks, notify buyers when they need to answer a seller question, prevent abuse, debug issues, improve product quality, and comply with legal or platform requirements.
We may use AI providers to interpret seller replies, extract vehicle facts, identify whether buyer input is required, and draft safe follow-up messages. Afreet's app owns the workflow state and does not allow the AI model to directly create, delete, reorder, or mutate tasks without deterministic application rules.
How We Share Information
We share information with service providers that help us run Afreet, including Firebase and Google Cloud for authentication and database storage, Vercel for hosting, PostHog for analytics, Meta WhatsApp Cloud API for messaging, OpenAI for private AI-assisted conversations, and Resend for buyer notification emails.
We may send sellers limited buyer and listing context needed to request permission and ask vehicle questions. We do not sell personal information.
WhatsApp And Seller Messaging
Afreet may use WhatsApp to contact sellers about a listed vehicle after a buyer asks Afreet to pursue that car. The first seller message asks for permission before Afreet sends detailed questions. Seller replies may be analyzed to determine whether the seller accepted, declined, provided vehicle information, or asked a question for the buyer.
Data Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain user-specific search and pursuit history, resolve disputes, secure the service, and meet operational or legal requirements. We may retain logs, audit events, and backups for a limited period after active use ends.
Your Choices
You can choose not to create an account, but signed-in actions such as rejecting cars, pursuing cars, and answering seller questions require authentication. You can stop a pursuit, undo a rejection, or contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of information associated with your account.
Security
We use authentication, access controls, provider webhook verification, transport encryption, and operational safeguards intended to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
International Processing
Afreet and its providers may process information in the United Arab Emirates and other countries where our infrastructure and service providers operate.
Children
Afreet is not intended for children. If you believe a child provided personal information to Afreet, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Changes To This Policy
We may update this policy as Afreet changes. The updated page will show the latest effective date.
